RUTH REDMON

Ruth (Wood) Redmon passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born May 2, 1936 at her grandparents farmhouse near Nampa, Idaho. At two weeks of age she arrived in Cascade, Idaho where she spent the majority of her life. Her parents were Irvin and Hazel (Tyler) Wood.

Ruth attended school at Cascade and participated in school activities and Pep Club. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for her entire life. She served in every calling available, some of them multiple times. She attended the first meeting in the first Branch building in Cascade in 1950 and helped with choosing some of interior design of the present Ward building.

Ruth married Gail Redmon on October 11, 1952, and they had seven children. Ruth loved raising a family at their beautiful home and farm in Cascade. She cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, she loved helping and spending time with them. Ruth was active in many local service organizations and provided compassionate service to numerous individuals in the community. Ruth is loved and cherished by countless family members and friends.

Ruth is survived by her seven children; Randy (Cheryl), Rick (Teresa), Pam Hall (Tom), Sherry Mason (Ted), Russ (Tracy), Ryan (Jennifer), Heidi Young (Dan); 25 Grandchildren; 52 Great Grandchildren and four Great-Great Grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband (Gail Redmon), two sisters (Delores and Joyce), two brothers (Glen and Earl), one granddaughter (Jessica Hall), four grandsons (Edward and Michael Mason, Jason Hall, Kevin Redmon).

On Friday, June 21, 2024, a viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. with a family prayer at 1:45 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cascade, Idaho. Burial will follow in the Margaret Cemetery in Cascade.
