Robert "Bob" Eugene Espy, Jr.

Robert Eugene Espy Jr., also known as Bob, age 86, of McCall, ID, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife of 39 years and his children, on Feb. 15th, 2018.  A “Celebration of Life” memorial will be determined at a later date, for sometime this summer.

Bob was born in Potlatch, ID on May 22, 1931 on the family home ranch to Robert & Jessie Espy Sr.

Bob was married to JoAnne Donica for 23 years and had 4 children, including Monte, Mike, Deb and Patti.

Bob met Susie Neal in 1976, fell in love and wholeheartedly became the father of Tracy Davis & Tina Apostolou.

Bob worked in the woods & sawmills most of his life until he retired from the McCall Boise Cascade Mill in 1978.  Bob loved to ride horses in the mountains with his family and friends. He loved to spend time taking long drives on the back roads of Idaho. Bob loved teaching his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren how to ride horses.

Bob is survived by his wife Susie, his sister, Myrlene, his 5 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Monte, his brothers, Don and Rick and his parents.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a memorial donation be made to MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter, in McCall.
