Lois Marguerite Goslin Strauchon, 91, of Cascade, ID passed away July 24, 2015 at her residence in Boise, ID.
The funeral service will be held at Cascade Community Church on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow at Margaret Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heikkila Funeral Chapel of McCall, ID.
Lois was born in Springview, NE on March 20, 1924 to Tom and Nellie Whitehead Goslin and eight older siblings. She graduated from Cascade High School in 1942 as Valedictorian.
She married George W Strauchon on March 21, 1942 at Grangeville, ID. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1992.
Lois began her employment at Valley County Hospital beginning in 1956. During her 23 years of employment, she wore many different professional hats. She was very active in Rebekah's Lodge, 4-H, Job's Daughters Bethel #33.
Lois is survived by a sister-in-law; Blanche Strauchon Hobbs of Anchorage, AK, daughters; Jan'et (Don) Heavrin, Delores Wheeler, Martha (Chuck) Boatman, Lucille (Gary) Logan. Also thirteen grandchildren; Ray, Tonya, Paul, Catherine, Becky, Rachel, Wendy, Marci, Terri, Sascha, Jerimi, Brian & Nanci. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren & one great great grandson
She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1993 an infant daughter, Marcella Rae in 1949, her parents & her siblings; Orlo, Adeline, Jasper, Cecil, Francis, Ben, Isabel & Edwin
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Cascade Community Church or a charity of your choice.
