Linda Jo Roberts Ford (78) passed away quietly at her home in Cascade, Idaho, on February 28, 2015, after an extended illness and time spent in the hospital in Boise.
Graveside services will be held at Margaret Cemetery, Cascade, Idaho, at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday March 8, 2015.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heikkila Funeral Chapel of McCall, Idaho.  If you wish, condolences can be conveyed to the family  via www.heikkilafuneralchapel.com
Linda was born at her parents' farm north of Cascade on November 21, 1936, the first of four children.  She attended twelve years of school at Cascade, graduating from High School in May 1956.  She then attended Lewis-Clark Normal School in Lewiston, Idaho, for two years, obtaining a teaching certificate.  She taught in the Mountain Home, Idaho, elementary schools until she married Lawrence M. Ford in October 1960.  Larry was in the Air Force and they lived in several different states and countries until his retirement in 1969. After their move back to Cascade, Linda worked for many years in the offices of the local doctors and veterinarian.  During these years, Linda and Larry sponsored an exchange student from Germany, Tina Rimmele, and subsequently visited Tina and her family in Germany.
Linda is survived by a sister, Nancy Roberts Fuller of Centralia, Washington; a brother, Randy G. Roberts of Kamiah, Idaho; and  a sister- in-law, Susan Carver Roberts of Pocatello, Idaho.  She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, a grandnephew and three stepchildren, Larry Ford, Farrell Ford, and Beth Ford Lynch and their spouses and families.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ford; her parents, Clifford and Juanita Roberts; a brother, Larry Roberts; and a sister-in-law, Gay Lunders Roberts.
Her interests included her extended family and friends, genealogy, crocheting, volunteering, and reading.  She was a charter member of the Cascade Medical Center Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cascade Medical Center Auxiliary to the Clifford and Juanita Roberts/Larry Ford Continuing Education Scholarship Fund, in c/o CMC Auxiliary, P.O. Box 845, Cascade Idaho, 83611-0845.
