The viewing begins at 10:00, followed by the  funeral at 11:00, and concludes with a graveside committal ceremony at Margaret Cemetery.
Lewis was born on January 10, 1936 in Portageville, Missouri.  In 1949, at the age of 13, he moved to Cascade, ID with his parents, Lewis E. and Lillian M. (Webb) Miller and two older brothers, William and George Frederick (G.F.). After graduating from Cascade High School in 1954, Lewis joined the U.S. Navy, served four years, and was honorably discharged as a Hospital Corpsman Second Class (HM2 / E-5) in 1958. He next traveled north to Alaska where he was a logistics supervisor for a construction contractor working on the Department of Defense's Distant Early Warning Line, or DEW Line. The DEW Line was a system of radar stations set up to detect incoming Soviet bombers during the Cold War and provide early warning of any sea and land invasion. In 1964 he went into partnership with his parents to open Miller's Sporting Goods on the corner of N. Main and E. Market Streets, currently the site of Wheeler's Pharmacy. During one of his many visits back to Cascade, he renewed his acquaintance with, and married,  local girl Vivian G. Austin on January 11, 1964 (later divorced). He continued employment with the construction company, and moved his new family to Athens, Greece in 1965, then Frankfurt, Germany in 1966. During this time, Lewis and Vivian had three children: Paul, Lewis and Susan.
Lewis moved his family back to Cascade in 1968, and went to Greenland to work on the DEW Line until 1969. He returned to Cascade and he and Vivian opened Miller's American Service Station on the corner of N. Main and W. Spring Streets. After the 1973 oil crisis impacted the business, the service station was sold and Lewis went to work briefly for the county. In 1975 he used his GI Bill to attend Boise State University, and received a two year technical degree in Welding and Metals Fabrication, while working summers at small local sawmills. In 1977 Lewis began working at Cascade Auto as a Parts and Service Manager, and worked there until retirement in 1994.
Lewis loved the people and town of Cascade. In retirement, he enjoyed walking around the town and up by the lake. He would make his "rounds" to see what was going on and who was out and about.
Lewis is preceded in death by his parents and brother G.F., and is survived by his oldest brother William, and sister-in-law Nancy Miller; his son Paul, daughter-in-law Cherie Miller, and granddaughters Erica and Fernanda Miller; his son Lewis Jr., daughter-in-law Margaret Miller, and granddaughters Quinn and Morgan Miller; his daughter Susan, son-in-law James Minnich; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
