Karen Sue Campbell, age 68, of Donnelly ID, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Donnelly, ID on October 5th, 2022.

Karen was born June 7th, 1954 in Boise ID.  She attended Borah High School from 1969-1971 and graduated in 1972 from Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, WY.

Karen married Neil Campbell June 2nd, 1972 at the Boise Little Theater.  They moved to Donnelly, ID in 1978.  Karen was Valley County Chief Deputy Assessor for more than 15 years, then Assessor for 7 years.  She finished her working career at Ridleys as a night manager.

Karen loved adventures with Neil and their boys, camping with the BOB family, RZRing, and snuggling her granddaughter.

Karen is survived by her husband Neil, son Zeb (Maudi), son Richard (Sarah), granddaughter Kiri,and her brother Larry Keeney (Mari).

Karen is preceded in death by her father Thomas Keeney, mother Dorothy Strasser, and step-father Carl Strasser.

Viewing will be from 1 – 1:45 p.m. with Funeral Services to begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 15th, 2022 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 Elo Rd, McCall, ID with a reception to immediately follow.  Private burial will follow reception in the Holmes Cemetery, Donnelly, ID.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donnelly Fire Department where Karen served as Fire Commissioner for many years.
