Johnny Darrell Rhodes

In Honor of Johnny Darrell Rhodes

Johnny was born on June 22nd, 1965 in Caldwell, Idaho.  The son of John D. Rhodes and Clydie Lucille Rhodes.

He grew up in Wilder, Idaho with his four younger siblings, Clyde, Joey, Lisa and Dawn Marie. He was forever wanting to be outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting, trapping, or simply enjoying a beautiful sky or a summer thunderstorm.

Johnny met and married Carol Van Wart and they had five children together. They decided to raise their growing family in the mountains of New Meadows, Idaho. This is where his children later gave him 10 grandchildren to share his love of the outdoors with.

Johnny was never more at peace throughout his life than when he was surrounded by family or simply standing by the river.

The angels came for Johnny on January 5, 2025. He now rests at peace with family that preceded him, his father John D., mother Lucille, older brother Shawn, and beloved nephews Tre and David.

He is survived by his children Evan, Zachary, Desiree, Jenessa, Jacob and John D and many grandchildren as well as his younger siblings and many, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The world will certainly be a different place without Johnny “MF” Rhodes.  There will be no measurement on how much he will be missed.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Mountain Life Church, 14180 Hwy 55, McCall, ID  83638
