James Patrick Irwin

James Patrick Irwin of McCall, passed from a sudden heart attack at home at age 67, on January 9, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of McCall; son Nicholas Irwin and his wife Dana, daughter Kimberley Brown and her husband Nick, and Vikki Irwin, as well three grandchildren, and brothers Tim and Rick, and sisters Cathy and Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Irwin, sister Laura and brother John.
He began life in Port Hueneme, California, where he was born on November 23, 1953 to Shirley Fay (Hix) and John Henry Irwin. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War era. He later met his current wife, Linda, at the Portland, Oregon V.A. Medical Center and moved to McCall in 1998. He was instrumental in getting the McCall Veterans Memorial established with American Legion Post 119, served for a short time as President of the McCall Lions Club; and enjoyed gold prospecting, hunting and fishing.
There will be a future announcement regarding the memorial service which is tentatively planned for summer.
