Gail Samuel Redmon passed away peacefully on August 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Gail was born June 24, 1930 in the family ranch house at Alpha, Idaho. His parents were John and Zelma Redmon. Gail attended school at Alpha and Cascade, and he graduated from Cascade High School in 1949.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952. Gail married Ruth Wood on October 11, 1952, and they had seven children. Gail graduated from Boise Junior College in 1956, earning an Associate of Arts degree, and later graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commercialism (Business Education). He taught high school in Marsing, Idaho from 1960 to the spring of 1964. He taught high school in Cascade starting in the fall of 1964 until he retired in 1994. He also worked during the summers, for the Forest Service, for 45 years. Gail loved spending time with his family, working on his farm, woodworking, and recreating in the great outdoors.

Gail is survived by his wife Ruth; 7 Children, Randy (Cheryl), Rick (Teresa), Pam Hall (Tom), Sherry Mason (Ted), Russ (Tracy), Ryan (Jennifer), Heidi Young (Dan); 25 Grandchildren; and 37 Great Grandchildren. Gail was proceeded in death by his parents (John and Zelma), two Brothers (Glenn and Merle), one granddaughter (Jessica Hall), four grandsons (Edward and Michael Mason, Jason Hall, Kevin Redmon).


Funeral Services will be held August 26, at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Church in Cascade, Idaho. Viewing will be from 12 - 12:45 p.m., just prior to the services in the church.  Burial will follow in the Margaret Cemetery in Cascade.
