Dawn Marie Boyce, 58, of McCall, Idaho, passed away on December 14th, 2014.
The funeral service and celebration of life will be held at 1pm on December 21st, 2014 at Heikkila Funeral Chapel. Pastor Brian Reese of Donnelly Bible Church officiated. Family and friends will be in attendance.
Dawn was born in Panorama City, California on May 15th, 1956 to Donald Heiner Boyce and Donna Hoffman. She lived a majority of her life in Idaho. She attended Wood River High School in Hailey, Idaho and continued on to attend Art School in Seattle, Washington.
Dawn married Roger Neil Black on April, 20th 1974 and they had one child, Maia Corrine Black.
Dawn was married to Jan “Dutch” Kleyn on May 14th, 2010 but the two had shared a life together since 1999.
Dawn worked mainly as a culinary expert, most recently for Moss at the University of Idaho campus in McCall, Idaho.
She was a very talented woman, and outdoor enthusiast, who enjoyed spending time on Payette Lake, hiking, fishing, foraging for huckleberries and morels, cooking, painting, traveling, and photographing family, wildlife and beautiful landscapes.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Jan “Dutch” Kleyn, daughter, Maia Black, grandson, Jasper Black, grandmother, Grace Dennis, mother, Donna Hoffman (Stan Dean), sister, Cindy Boyce (Diane Miller), brother, Sean Boyce (Shery), nieces, Harlie Boyce, Sydnie Boyce, and Roudie Boyce and her beloved Australian Shepard, Shasta.
Preceded in death by her brother Scott Boyce and her father Donald Heiner Boyce.
