Colleen Charmaine Donica, 84, of McCall passed away Friday, September 5, 2014.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Heikkila Funeral Chapel. A visitation will take place Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Heikkila Funeral Chapel and from 11:00-2:00 P.M. prior to service. Interment will take place at the Bell-Spink Cemetery following the services. Services under the direction of the Heikkila Funeral Chapel.
Colleen was born in Twin Falls, Idaho October 6, 1929 to Edward and Icel West. She moved from Shoshone Basin to McCall in 1939 and graduated from McCall/Donnelly High School in 1947. Colleen married Virgil Donica June 1, 1947. They were married for 52 years. She worked as a telephone operator for Contel Telephone Co for over 25 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Colleen is survived by her kids: Sherrie Sloan (Rod), Kathy Yoakum (Dick), Dan Donica (Donna), DeeDee Matthews (Monte), Dave Donica, Rocky Donica (Wendy). Sister, Rosie Woods, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ed & Icel West, her husband Virgil, Sister LaVera Regenhagen, grandsons Jeff Yoakum and Leroy Matthews.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial to Jeff Yoakum Scholarship fund or Leroy Matthews "Sports for kids" fund. Memorials can be sent to Meadows Valley High School.
